DROMAMED represents a collaborative research project funded by PRIMA, the Partnership for Research & Innovation in the Mediterranean Area. Twelve partners from nine countries around the Mediterranean area are investigating together to find answers to one of the main challenges the agriculture systems are facing nowadays: drought.

Considering a diverse group of maize varieties, DROMAMED will find those more tolerant to drought and heat, and spread them among producers and farmers from the countries involved in the project. These stakeholders are key partners for DROMAMED as they will test the varieties and provide feedback and knowledge on best practices about the cultivation of maize.
